Thai Cane Paper - Thailand 's only
producer of top quality, 4 ply kraft paper
Thai Cane PublicCompany Ltd. has started its business in
producting and distribuiting of kraft paper (for corrugated box making) in 1987.
Its first plant, with the capacity of 100,000 tons/year, is located in
Thamuangn, Karnchanaburi Province. And the second plant, which was built in 1996
with the capacity of 200,000 tons/year, is located in Kabinburi, Prachinburi.
Now with the total capacity of 300,000 tons/year, Thai Cane has become one of
the leaders in Thailand 's kraft paper industry.
The second plant in
Prachinburi has used the technology of 4 ply kraft paper production from Mesto,
Finland which is one of the most advance technology in Asia nowadays. Moreover,
along the production process, Thai Cane uses computer system for quality
control. That 's why is has quality products and its both plants in
Karnchanaburi and Prachinburi have been certified by ISO 9002 from SGS(Thailand)
and ISO 9001:2000 from United Registrar System.
Additionally, Thai Cane has
been concerned with pollution and environment so far. It uses biological
technology of Activated Sludge (one of the world technologies) from Ahlstrom
Aquaflow, Finland for its polluted water treatment - to release the least
polluted water into the river.
The securities of Thai Cane
have been regionally registered in SET (Securities Exchange of Thailand) since
1996. As at 30 June 2006, Thai
Cane had capital stock amounted to Baht 3,583 million which comprise of 358
million issued and paid-up common stocks amounted to Baht 3,582.54 million with
Baht 10 per value of each.
